Rendang Padang Recipe "Beef"

Rendang Padang "Beef" is a indonesian food from Minangkabau Sumatera. Rendang Padang is famous food in Indonesia, so if you are a indonesian food lover, there is no harm tasting rendang padang "beef".

Here i will also share information about how to make Rendang Padang "beef", before that, thee following is how choose a good beef :
  1. Choose the color that is bright red, not pale.
  2. Choose texture that still feels spongy
  3. Select which has aroma of fresh meat, no sour smell
  4. Choose which does not discharge
  5. Don't select that froozen
Prepare the main ingredient recipe Rendang Padang "beef"
  • 2 pounds beef, wash the fat and cut into pieces
  • Coconut milk 2 liters
 Seasoning recipe Rendang "beef"
  • 7 cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 tablespoon coriander
  • A piece turmeric that has been burn 
  • A piece galangal
  • 6 grains of hazelnut
  • 100 grams of large red prepper
  • 100 grams of curly red prepper
  • 14 shallots
  •  1 teaspon cumin roasted
  • 2 1/2 teaspon salt
  • 2 1/2 teaspon nutmeg
Puree all ingredient above,  then prepare recipe Rendang Padang
  • 3 leaves of lemongrass
  • 3 leaves of turmeric
  • 4 cm kandis acid
  • 5 lime leaves 
 Easy ways to make Rendang Padang "beef"
First prepare a large skillet and then enter the coconut milk and then enter the spice that has been crushed before, dont forget to add kandis acid, turmeric leaves, stalks lemongrass and stir continuously for about 30 minutes on medium heat slowly and evenly so that coconut milk is not broken later. Add pieces of meat into the pan before stirring constantly until boiling, then reduce the flame, stirring constantly back up the coconut milk thickens and becomes dry. Rendang ready to served :)
